About me

Hello, I'm Dan, and welcome to my page.

My journey into counselling began with my own experience of a safe, non judgmental space, where I experienced a euphoric, truly enlightening experience, where I felt truly heard; that experience was transformative and it inspired me to train to become a counsellor to offer others the same opportunity: a safe space to explore, reflect, and grow.

I’m trained in an integrative approach to counselling, which means I draw from a range of therapeutic models to suit your individual needs. My main approaches include, but not limited to:

  • Person-Centred Therapy – my core approach, which ensures I remain fully present and responsive to what you bring to each session.

  • Transactional Analysis – helping explore patterns in relationships and communication.

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – supporting practical strategies to manage thoughts and behaviours.

This flexibility allows me to tailor our sessions in a way that works best for you; whether you're seeking deep emotional insight, practical coping tools, or simply a space to talk. I offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental environment where you can explore whatever may be coming up for you, past or present.

You don’t need to have everything figured out; counselling is a space where you can begin to make sense of things at your own pace.

Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply curious about how counselling might help, I’m here to walk alongside you.

Throughout my work in both current and past roles supporting children, young people, adults, and families, where each individuals bring their own unique story, this has allowed me to develop a deep rich understanding of the possible challenges people face.

Having these life experiences has helped shape my approach and enriched my skill set, allowing me to support others with empathy, authenticity, and resilience, as well as strengthened my ability to walk alongside others as they navigate difficult moments.

Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply curious about how counselling might help, I’m here to walk alongside you.
